NGC 6744 (Caldwell 101) is a large intermediate spiral galaxy located 30 million light-years away in the constellation of Pavo.

Bio

NGC 6744 is one of the most similar galaxies to the Milky Way in its immediate vicinity, with flocculent arms and an elongated core, yet is around 75% larger. (175,000 light-years across) They might likely have been friends due to their various similarities, because NGC 6744 doesn't let his size get in the way of who he is. NGC 6744's generally a calm and outgoing galaxy, even known for possessing his own satellite which is similar to the Large Magellanic Cloud.

NGC 6744 is a livelier and overall more idyllic galaxy in comparison to the Milky Way, with a star formation rate of 2.8-4.7M⊙ per year, and 17 known H II regions. He also appears to harbor a low-luminosity AGN, fueled by a supermassive black hole. NGC 6744 is content with the presence of his black hole, as should be for any good spiral galaxy.

Farther out at 2.12 million light-years from NGC 6744 is the dwarf galaxy Bedin I, who he may or may not be associated with. NGC 6744 isn't one to be petty and spark conflict with others, so he just lets him be in peace.
